The situation is not only unique in
Singapore but also happen in Philippine ironically they The Philippines
is the third largest English-speaking country in the world proclaimed by most of the government .
Pick anyone you randomly happen to meet at the shopping mall, petrol
station, mini mart, or even school. Then ask them this simple question,
“Do you speak English?” Most of the time, their answer would be, “No,
sorry.”Sometimes the answer would even be the longer version, “No,
sorry, I don’t speak English.” Sometimes we also have to consider that
most of them are just naturally shy when it comes to encountering
foreigners, so they may also give that kind of response just to avoid
further confrontation, conversation.
But the one question that I cannot help but ask is this:“Must they speak in English?” Shouldn’t we be the ones who should be learning their language because we are in their country ? Overall they had their deep-rooted history of US influenced and learned English starting from preschool, and skill
in English is mandatory if we ever hope to enter college I guess the
situation here is more like learning it.and after forget it What is a
bit puzzling, though, I had met a few Korean, Japanese, China foreigner
in Baguio, who came to Philippines specifically just to take up courses
in English. Many of my China, Japanese, Korea friends I met in
Philippines did not choose Singapore as the first priority the means
reason given was the high cost of currency exchange conversion rate,
result of having pitfall with strong currency, no wonder China is still
putting off to;devalue their RMB !
In Philippine what better way for English-adept Filipinos to land jobs in this or
other country? They 're probably the nearest country like China, Japan
or Korea , where they can probably demand and recruit;teachers from
Philippine. Furthermore, when I was in China, having a Filipino
domestic helper is an advantages over local nanny, one of my relative
who use a Filipino helper was glad that he made a right decision,
practical as it sound, by employing a Filipino helper not only having a
domestic helper in the house, a nanny and also an English teacher in
the house to impart and converse in English to their children.
I’m sure that there are social and cultural hurdles that we will
overcome when learning English – and I’m not a linguist nor an expert
of languages , But based on experienced as a Singaporean; what I do
know, one glaring reason is the lack of practice using English in
Philippine. To put it out front to learn a language, you have to use
it. My own niece, for instance, did not have any problems learning
English. She learned fast, and has picked up a considerable amount of
phrases in such a very short span of time – at four years of age, she
speaks English far better than some of the college grads or even
university. grads , the environment like Singapore a multi-racial
country. Having all kind of ethical race like the Malay, Indian, other
races, speaking English solve most of the hurdles of communication
differences and gap. This was the kind of opportunity to practice our
English naturally. Any strategy or curriculum would not be
sufficient.or it is simply not enough for parents to just haul their
kids to English classes and let them “immerse” for one hour, only to
have them revert back to speaking Tagalog when they go back to their homes. In Singapore we are exposed to
English on a daily basis, may it be through conversations
interaction, radio, television, movies, or the internet. And in fact,
there are already so many tools at one’s disposal, without having to
pay for them!Judging from the rate the Chinese, Korean, Japanese passion of pursing of learning English. Maybe another 10 or 15 years the landscape and trend
will change, they would have their own English teacher who speak and
write proficiency English and also communicate with their own mother
tongue. Still remembered during my school day our English teacher Mrs
Yap, can really so call "whip" or lecture us in bombastic English and
at the same time dish out mother tongue like Chinese, Malay and Indian,
which I guess was an advantages for us to pick up all those languages
along the way which offer me a life long tools to speak many languages at a young early age. For the Chinese in China don’t judge
them too hastily now, they may have the last laugh if let say 5% of
population passion to become English teacher over 1.3 billion people
(1,330,044,605 as of mid-2008), As the world's population is about 6.7 billion, China represents a full 20% of the world's population so one in every five people on the planet is reside China. That definitely would upset future trend , as the current demand for Filipino English teacher in china, they’re the observing the needs of those who result hopelessly inept in the language but who have the clear economic advantage now. They’re the ones responding to their English job vacancy posts and applying for the jobs they offer.I f they are not going to create a proficient English environment in 10 to 15 years down the road, they might could never hope to find employment that would sufficiently give the means to live comfortably by working as and lose the status at being better English speakers than our Asian neighbors.

Koreans come in droves for English classes
Philippines--A total of 111,000 students from South Korea came to the
Philippines last year for English classes and other study tours,
accounting for 17 percent of the 653,320 Korean arrivals, the
Department of Tourism said.
Tourism Secretary Ace Durano said the number was expected to grow
significantly this year, judging from “the quality and quantity” of
inquiries the department received at the recent 26th Korea Student and
Emigration Fair in Seoul.
Koreans have become the biggest group of visitors to the
Philippines, surpassing Americans. The tourism department expects them
to number a million by 2010 and account for one-fifth of its target of
five million visitors a year.
“The Korean overseas learning sector accounts for around five
million people, including those who want to acquire skills that will
help them participate in the global economy,” Durano said.
He said the Department of Tourism joined in the Korea Student and
Emigration Fair to get a bigger share of that sector, partly by
partnering with schools with English as Second Language, or ESL,
programs.
He said most Korean students of English preferred schools in the
cities of Baguio, Manila, Iloilo and Cebu and in the northern region of
Cagayan Valley
Some enroll in two-month ESL programs that coincide with their
summer or winter breaks; others enter the regular course offerings of
international schools and universities in the Philippines; and some
want to learn English for use in particular fields, such as medicine
and nursing.
There are also packages in which ESL is applied in golf
Durano said the tourism and education sectors needed to further
improve their facilities and services, such as discouraging
fly-by-night operations and ensuring the safety of visitors.
From January to February, Korean visitors in the Philippines
numbered 126,354, accounting for 22.1 percent of total arrivals and
increasing by five percent year-on-year

LAOAG (Philippines) - A LOCAL politician was killed when gunmen ambushed a convoy carrying about 50 people in the Philippines on Monday, police said, echoing a horrific election-linked massacre last month. Six other people travelling in the convoy, including two village officials and a police escort, were wounded, Ilocos Norte province police director Senior Superintendent Benjamin Lusad said. Four hooded men ambushed the convoy, which was carrying candidates and supporters of the opposition Nationalista Party just outside Dingras town in Ilocos Norte, according to Superintendent Lusad. Mr Joen Caniete, a village chairman who was running for a seat on the Dingras town council in next year's national elections, was riddled with bullets and died immediately, Superintendent Lusad said. The attack came barely a month after armed followers of a powerful political clan stopped a convoy of people in the southern Philippines and murdered 57 of them. The dead included relatives of a rival politician to the clan, plus journalists and lawyers. That attack was carried out allegedly to prevent the rival from running against one of the clan members. Superintendent Lusad said it was too early to conclude that the ambush in Ilocos Norte, in the northern Philippines, was politically motivated. 'We are looking at so many angles,' he said without elaborating. -- AFP
Just Ask - Special Visa to Generate Employment

Hi Simon
Ans : Philippine Like other countries welcome investor to create employment for the Filipino, we need to setup the business and employ at least 10 employee. The special visa for 1 year will be issued to the partner who are non-immigrant foreigner, directly or exclusively engage in a viable and sustainable
commercial investment/enterprise in the Philippines
Written by Pinoy Entrepreneur, on 20-11-2008
On 17 November 2008, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo issued Executive Order 758, providing for a Special Visa for Employment Generation (SVEG). The SVEG is a special visa issued to a qualified non-immigrant foreigner who shall actually employ at least 10 Filipinos in a lawful and sustainable enterprise, trade or industry. Holders of the SVEG have multiple entry privileges, without need of prior departure from the Philippines. This means they can stay in the Philippines indefinitely, so long as they maintain the requirements. The conditions or requirements to avail of this visa are: (1) the foreigner shall actually, directly or exclusively engage in a viable and sustainable commercial investment/enterprise in the Philippines, exercises/performs management acts or has the authority to hire, promote and dismiss employees; (2) he evinces a genuine intention to indefinitely remain in the Philippines; (3) he is not a risk to national security; and (4) the foreigner’s commercial investment/enterprise must provide actual employment to at least 10 Filipinos. (See also: Primer and full text of EO 758.) There are 2.9 million Filipinos who are currently unemployed, according to the April 2008 survey of the National Statistics Office (NSO) quoted in E.O 758. This is roughly the same NSO figure for July 2008. “The employment rate estimated for July 2008 was 92.6 percent. This implies that nine in every 10 persons in the labor force were employed in July 2008.” Of course, you may have questions on these figures. The issuance of the special visa may be an acknowledgement that domestic capacity to generate employment is not sufficient. Pinoy Entrepreneurs are not generating enough employment opportunities. Why grant foreigners this very liberal visa unless there’s really a need to cover the shortfall on employment? This may reflect the dependence on foreign capital, which is also reflected in the foreign remittances from our OFWs. On the other hand, it could be viewed as a welcome effort of the government to bolster domestic capacity. It really depends on whether you want to see the glass half-full or half-empty.

Hi Andrew you were asking for comparison vein treatment services in Philippine in cost and medical service
Answers"
1. My personal opportunity and I had visited some of their medical facilities, no dispute in Philippine they also have the latest equipment and technique as like all other medical services in Singapore, the cost can be expensive to the majority and might afford to some who had the excess cash.
However, if comparing to Singapore currency exchange rate I guess is cost saving , sometimes the same procedure that perform in Singapore can cost us about S$10,000 plus if you do it over in Philippine you only paid about 50% of the amount, on top of that First class all the way!
2. No problem for me to arrange the appointment and escorted or guide you around Manila, LOL cheers attach is the information for your reference.

Kopi talk - Philippine maid in Singapore

The post highlight the current situation in Singapore the financial situation calls for it, both parents need to work. To strike balanced the domestic helper are they to help and not to replaced any parent.
For majority Filipino if given an opportunity and a choice they would rather stay here than leaving their family for an oversea job. moreover, the element of family unity bond culture is much more stronger in Philippine than most typical family in Singapore.
Striking a balance between family and work should had been the centre of focused in Singapore that work should not “suck” a parent dry so much so that when they reach home, they cannot spend quality time with the children. Even if in the day, the children are taken care of by a maid, I guess if it is okay. As long as the parents still spend quality time, communicating with their children, guiding them in homework and housework, having leisure time together, providing a model of responsible parents, their children will follow this model. The children will “catch” the spirit and attitude of this model. They will subconsciously understand that yes, both my parents have to work but, they do not “escape” from their main “job” as parents once they reach home. They will feel loved. They will feel secured. Automatically they will pass on this legacy to the generations to come.
When in Philippine, I was given an opportunity to see another side of the coin when a family members decided to leave for a better pasture to work in Singapore, the family member and children had also a fair share of anxiety that might effect them emotionally and psychological of not having their parent around. Statically if given a choice most of them would rather stay but the need of providing a better future for their children.
Moreover, when a country do not provide much of conducive job opportunity I fairly say they make a choice to sacrifice for the sake of a better future for their family in Philippine. A choice that they might not want to take if given a choice.

Count On Maids, Singapore
Posted in: Uncategorized by Terence Quek
I was having lunch with a friend today and our conversation strayed to the topic of domestic helpers.
She shared her personal experience of working with her domestic helper from the Philippines, recounting how she would still insist for her young children to assist in the household chores because she believed it is important for them to learn to be independent. She remarked that her friends were surprised at how much initiative this maid showed while taking care of guests. To add, she was asked not to call the employers “Mdm” and “Sir”, but by their first names.
I know some of my friends will warn that being too friendly to the maid will lead to disaster. I also know that others will applaud this friend for her approach in being a employer.
Whatever our stand on how maids should be trained, taught, handled, punished, rewarded, and treated, there is no argument that the foreign domestic helper has featured prominently in some Singaporeans’ lives – and is pretty much part of the skyline of Singapore.
So while we count on our maids to do the chores, I’m beginning to wonder in some households, who should the children and the aged parents count on – us? or the maids?Share and Enjoy

the most frightful night I’ve encounter was during the 7th day of death of my grandpa. we were asked to go back to hometown in Kampar as we chinese believe that the soul of the death will return home on the 7th day to have a last visit of the family. so on the night itself, everyone of us were squeezed in one room and we were not allowed to go out from the room when ‘the thing’ is here, chinese believe that , if we bumped into them, they will bring our soul along . so on the night , nobody left the room for toilet. everyone was sleeping peacefully until we heard some chains from outside. the worse was, all the dogs and cats kept crying nonstop. then we heard as if someone was finding clothes at grandpa’s cupboard. the man told us he got no clothes to wear because on the first day, we didn’t burn him clothes, so thats why he came back and searched from his cupboard. after that we heard some chopsticks sound from the dining table. the atmosphere was really tense that night , so scary . nobody knows what will happen next. what sound are we gonna hear next. i couldn’t sleep at all. the worse of all was i heard his footstep walking outside the house . that was the scariest sound . it was exactly the same as i heard when he was still alive. my goosebumps all kept rising and never goes down. it really scared me! i didn’t sleep the whole night until my grandpa’s soul left the house.
Melissa Says: December 19th, 2009 at 1:27 pm The most frightful night when I was sleeping is when I was at my aunt’s place in one of the guest rooms. I went to sleep late that night, almost close to 3 in the morning – so, it was pitch dark and silent except for the sound of the air condition running. I covered myself with a blanket but just as I was about to fall asleep, I felt my blanket slipping away as if someone (or something) was pulling it. Brushing it of as just my imagination, I pulled my blanket back up only to find it being pulled away again a few minutes later. The room was locked, so, I was sure there wasn’t anybody there, or at least there wasn’t suppose to be anybody there. I prayed really hard, ran to the light switch and had the lights on the entire night. I never gave it much thought after that, but now that I think about it, I wonder what I would have seen if I left the lights switched off

THE first guests at the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort (IR) will be able to check in, have a meal, attend a convention and gamble by the middle of April next year, at the latest.
That was the new deadline revealed by Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson on Monday.
That means about 1,000 hotel rooms, several eateries (including three of its six celebrity-chef restaurants), part of the convention facilities and the casino floor will have to be ready by then, or the operator risks failing to secure its casino licence.
The rest of the project will open in phases before the end of next year.
Sands training 'early next year'
Mr Adelson also had an update for new employees, some of whom were in the news last week waiting to hear when training for their new jobs as dealers and croupiers would start.

THERE
IS THIS MYTH that Singapore is a rich country and its citizens are
well-taken care of. Nothing could be further from the truth. The 1998
United Nations Human Development Index showed that Singapore ranked 28
on the list behind countries like Barbados and Malta. In fact many households earn so little that they cannot afford to give their children pocket-money for school, resulting in the students going hungry for the day. The following is a snapshot of some of the more recent cases uncovered: An elderly woman in her seventies was fatally run over by a hit-and-run driver as she was returning home at 6:40 am, working as a night-shift toilet cleaner. Not only did the elderly lady have to toil in the night shift, her pay was so meagre that she could not even afford to eat lunch. To top it off she had to save to help take care of her 50-year old mentally retarded daughter.
In 1999 monthly wages for low-skilled workers decreased by as much as 34 percent.
The reason why the poor in Singapore are not more visible is that the Ministry of Community Development and Sports conduct frequent raids through its Destitute Persons Service, looking for and picking up vagrants. If Singapore seems to have less destitute, it is not because the numbers are not present. The real reason is that the PAP Government is just much more efficient in clearing the streets of homeless people. For all the hype claiming that Singapore is a near-paradise, 20 percent of its citizens indicated that they want to leave the country, predominantly because of the stressful lifestyle and high cost of living. These would-be émigrés are mainly from the strata of younger, higher-income professionals. With the costs of living rising, or at least not decreasing, and wages continuing to be depressed, Singaporeans are going to facing increasingly dire economic times. Without any rights, their problems will persist. Extract from http://yoursdp.org/index.php/truth-about/poverty-in-singapore |

In Philippine Cheap alcoholic local drink cost about Singapore $1.20 , brand like GSM, Beer in the Philippines is managed by two breweries: San Miguel Corporation, which produces San Miguel Pale Pilsen, the most popular here and around this region. We often hears negative comments like drinking Beer leads to obesity, is bad for your kidneys and causes liver damage.” This refrain rings true. However, it is as true of beer as it is of wines and liquors, when consume excessively of alcohol of any sort is going to make you sick. When you drink, enzymes produced by your liver process the alcohol. Only limited amounts of alcohol can be metabolised at any given time, and the excess remains in the body to wreak havoc on your liver. So what puts a person at risk is not the type of alcohol, but the amount consumed. The ironic of it in spite of all the negative press beer has attracted, it is nonetheless a beverage that contains a substantial amount of nutrition, and can be beneficial when consumed in appropriate quantities. Like my dad use to say anything that is good if consumed in large amount can bring harm to the body. Maybe, brought up in a Chinese traditional environment I was instilled to believed that the body is balanced by ying and yang. So what’s nutritious about beer and what do we mean by “ying and yang or balanced quantities”? If you think of beer as being no better than French fries , nachos and chips, in fact beer is actually made from healthy ingredients such as hops, brewer’s yeast, barley and malt. A historical fact, before clean drinking water became widely available; it was often used as a safer alternative, since the alcohol inside the beer had a sterilising effect. In addition, it was sometimes used such as a substitute for food: once known as “liquid bread”, beer was often an important source of sustenance for European monks (such as those of the Trappist order) during fasting periods.
In summary here’s the lowdown on the nutritional value of beer. A regular can of beer contains approximately 12.6g of carbohydrates; 1.6g of protein; trace quantities of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and other minerals; and vitamins such as B6, choline, folate, riboflavin, niacin and pantothenic acid. However in comparison to your colas and sodas which pump up with sugar content. Many health authorities recommend that men do not drink more than three standard drinks a day. A standard drink of regular beer, between 4 and 5 per cent alcohol by volume, is roughly 220 ml, or approximately two-thirds of a can. As women are more sensitive to alcohol, the recommended amount for them is no more than two standard drinks. What about if a woman is pregnant ?The problem, as so many have pointed out, is that the vast majority of the research data focus on women who drink heavily during pregnancy, or binge drink. It's no surprise that their babies are at high risk for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, nor is it really any surprise that the public health message -- aided by an often hysterical media -- compresses all alcohol use into this baby-damaging paradigm. But is there any science out there that tells us what really happens when a pregnant woman drinks very occasionally? And how do we square the dangers of FAS with the example of all those gorgeous French children whose mothers drank a moderate amount of (excellent) wine while gestating?
The SFGate piece links to three studies, all of which seem to provide some evidence of some effect -- whether on size or behaviour -- of the children of women who drank lightly in pregnancy. Public health folks continue to deliver the message that there is no known safe amount, although most doctors will contradict that with one woman in twelve reporting that she drank at least a little alcohol during pregnancy, the confusion will likely continue, leaving individual mothers to asses their own risk level and responsibility. Hopefully, is not genetic.
Some studies have suggested that people who drink lightly on a regular basis benefit more from the beverage than regular heavy drinkers and irregular heavy (or binge) drinkers. Rather than deriving health benefits, the two latter groups are in fact more likely to suffer from coronary heart disease and hypertension.
So where drinking is concerned, the “more is better” logic does not work. “One drink a day is good” obviously does not translate into “seven drinks all in one day of the week”. Spread your booze throughout the week, and bear the recommended limits in mind. The benefits
Before we wrap up, let’s take a quick look at some benefits which moderate alcohol consumption confers. In addition to lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease, moderate drinking has also been linked to improved bone density, lowering of cholesterol levels, and reduction of blood clotting and inflammation. DRINK MODERATELY especially holiday session is around the corner, I always staunch believer if you drink don’t drive, putting other in danger and yourself. that also applicable also if you drink don’t ride a carabao, horse, or cow in Gamu, isabela so far I yet to hear a drunker kill in a carabao(philippine buffalo) crash.

This famous ghost photograph was taken in 1891 by Sybell Corbett at Combermere Abbey in Cheshire, England. It is believed to be of Lord Combermere, who apparently returned to visit his library. The camera was set up in the library and left to record the area for about an hour. Older cameras took a while to record an image. When the photograph was developed, this image of a man appeared in the photo. Very few people were in the house when the picture was captured, as the Lord himself was being buried during
this time. Had anyone entered the room and sat in the chair for a few minutes, an image like this would have been recorded. The family's butler insisted that no one had entered the room.Picture extract from http://www.angelsghosts.com/1891_apparition_ghost_picture.html

rival, carved out meat from his body and shared it with his drinking
buddies.
Senior Inspector Carlos Oliveros, Naawan police station
chief, said residents found the remains of 16-year-old Rey Dadoles in a
grassy portion of Barangay Mat-i last Friday.
Oliveros said
Dadoles died after suffering 22 hack wounds. He said flesh was carved
out of the boy's ribs and some of the body parts were also missing.
He said Dadoles was brutally killed by Jovencio Tuyor and three other persons.
"They took some parts of the boy's body. Tuyor ate the victim's flesh," Oliveros told ABS-CBN Misamis Oriental.
Tuyor
admitted in an interview that he killed the boy. He said he only
retaliated for his son, who was hit by the victim before the killing.
He
also confessed to taking some body parts of the victim and sharing it
with his drinking buddies as "kinilaw," a local dish of raw meat
slightly cooked with vinegar and ginger.
Police said the three other suspects in the killing are now under protective custody.
A case of murder has been filed against the suspect

MANILA - ARMED mountain tribesmen abducted about 75 people, most of them schoolchildren, after a raid on a remote elementary school in the southern Philippines on Thursday, a senior army general said. Police later said 18 were freed, including 17 children.
Last month, 57 people, including 30 journalists, were killed after they were stopped at a checkpoint in Maguindanao province, also in the southern Philippines. The mass killings has led to a crackdown on warlords in the south and the imposition of martial law in Maguindanao last week.
On Thursday, a group of teachers and students was preparing for the start of their classes in Prosperidad town when armed Manobo tribesmen took them away to a forested area in Agusan del Sur province, Lieutenant-General Raymundo Ferrer said.
'We've sent troops to help rescue the hostages,' Lieutenant Ferrer told Reuters, describing the armed men as a group of 'bandits' blamed for several robberies and killings in the area.
'We are not aware of any political demands but negotiations are now ongoing to free the hostages that include two forest rangers and some of the parents who were in the school at that time. We're only playing a support role there.' -- REUTERS

MANILA - POLICE named 100 government militiamen as additional suspects in the Philippines' worst political massacre as prosecutors filed rebellion charges against a powerful clan accused of ordering the brutal attack on a rival's campaign convoy.
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's top Cabinet officials appeared before lawmakers Wednesday to defend her proclamation of martial law in southern Maguindanao province, where 57 people were killed, some left sprawled on the ground and others buried in mass graves.
Critics called the martial law declaration a dangerous precedent, but Cabinet members said it was needed to stave off a rebellion by the Ampatuan family, the main suspects in the Nov. 23 killings, and their thousands-strong private armis ready to fight the government.
The Ampatuan clan gained notoriety for intimidating political opponents and protecting their turf, which until the massacre made any action against them impossible.
The head of the Philippines' independent Commission on Human Rights, Leila de Lima, said her office had received a letter from anonymous citizens blaming the Ampatuans for at least 200 other killings in the area in the past decade. De Lima cautioned that the allegations had not been validated and did not provide details but said she would investigate.
She said her office had asked the elder Ampatuan to comment on the allegations but he never responded. Witnesses in custody have identified Andal Ampatuan Jr, a scion of the clan, as leader of a group of government militiamen who attacked a rival's convoy in Ampatuan township, said national police chief Jesus Verzosa. -- AP

When you check in Terminal 3 give you a sense of déjà vu feeling that you in Singapore Changi terminal airport spotless clean, similar check in and departure counter, self checking counter, viewing deck for visitor to have a glance of plane landed and take off. Back in Singapore it used to be my favourite cosy study corner. They even have food Kiosk selling Kopi roti Singapore style, Jollibee, to get a bite before departure. Unlike in Singapore absence of big branded shopping centre with more than 300 retail and F&B outlets in Terminal 1, 2 and 3, you'll be spoilt for choice savour some of the best cuisine in the world where you can shop and dine to your heart's content!
However, no Wi-Fi connectivity internet inside the airport unlike in Changi airport Wi-Fi is easily available in any corner which can be very helpful for a traveller. A thumb up for the clean hygiene lavatory! From what I gather that the Philippine Government is pushing for all international carriers from T1 are moved to T3, the domestic flights in T3 along with the domestic flights in the domestic airport will be moved to Terminal 2 which was originally designed as a domestic airport. I would say a milestone in Philippine history a real far cry from Ninoy Aquino International Airport in design and comfort.

MANILA - MEMBERS of a powerful Muslim clan rounded up after the Philippines imposed martial law in their provincial stronghold will be charged with rebellion, the government said on Sunday.
The rebellion charges would be on top of murder cases being prepared against them over the November 23 massacre of 57 people in their home province of Maguindnanao, Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera said.
'We did not see them plotting against the government, we saw the deed done. They have usurped power from the government there,' he told DZBB radio. 'This is not ordinary chaos taking place in one area, this has an armed component. And there is removal of allegiance from the republic of the Philippines by the leaders of this group.'
Under Philippine law, rebellion is punishable by life imprisonment. President Gloria Arroyo imposed martial law on Maguindanao late on Friday in an effort to rein in the Ampatuan family, a clan that until the massacre had ruled the province with the backing of the ruling coalition.
Clan members are accused of being behind the massacre of a rival politician's relatives, as well as journalists and other civilians. One clan member, Andal Ampatuan Jr, was detained shortly after the killings and charged with 25 counts of murder.
Police allege he and 100 members of an Ampatuan militia shot dead the occupants of a convoy that included female relatives of his rival for the post of governor in next year's elections, as well as a group of journalists. -- AF

Kung sino man makartagpo sa nakakatakot na lugar na ito mag email class95cafe@yahoo.com.ph lang sa akin.
Philippine has many haunted places where ghosts and paranormal activities manifest. A place is considered to be haunted when the presence of spirits such as ghosts of dead people is at a very high level. Meaning they could always manifest anytime of the day - day and night times. The hauntings could be the result of a tragic history of a certain place where tens and hundreds of souls were trapped in the area. There are famous haunted places in the Philippines that could be the subjects of paranormal investigations. Baguio City - Diplomat Hotel - This was a Seminary during the early 1900, world war 2 came and several priest and nuns were killed some of them beheaded by japanese occupying forces.
