In Singapore we do use sugar, but often in combination with other spices to create new blends with a more nuanced sweetness. With Filipino dishes, the sugar content will blasts you into 7th heaven.
The challenge is to make our noodle equally sweet and yet not so spicy for our customers, what I liked about this Mee is the texture and taste of the noodles / mee. The balance of spicy and sweetness is just nice and the lack of visible oil give one a sense of healthier dining. The Mee also comes with generous portions of lean chicken meat and chinese mustard leaves. The price is a real steal at only P35 good for
