The Philippines is a country of many famous food products. Every province and town in the country has its own specialty products that we have all come to know and love. But did you know that the food products of the country are more diverse than we all really know? For example, Pangasinan produces the best milkfish but it is also famous for its duhat wine. Similarly, Benguet is famous for its strawberries and kalinga are also famous for its kalinga coffee. These tiny bits of information are little by little getting known. Thanks to the Philippine government’s spearheaded the One Town One Product (OTOP) program a priority project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to promote entrepreneurship and job creation.
As for the Kalinga coffee they recently apply for the organic certification as like all countries it costly but the popular Kalinga Brew, a brand of Kalinga coffee now available at markets in major cities here and abroad, is said to be a blend of the three, making it a top choice among coffee drinkers.
Coffee is the product of the province under the One Town One Product (OTOP) program of the government, earning much support in production and marketing.
