DAVAO CITY -- A policewoman and a police official here are in jail after they were caught on Friday by the woman's husband having sex inside a motel, the local police said.
Police Inspector Darwin Duque, 38, and PO1 Reyvelyn Sansano-Macanas, 24, both married with their respective partners, were arrested after police authorities swooped down a motel room on Diversion Road in Buhangin, late night Friday.
The woman's husband, SPO1 Oliver Felix Macanas of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force, had sought police assistance after confirming the presence of Duque and his wife at the motel.
SPO1 Macanas told investigators that he secretly followed his wife after he saw her boarding a cab from the regional police headquarters in Camp Catitipan and sped off toward the motel. The cab entered the motel's driveway and stopped at one of the rooms, prompting SPO1 Macanas to request for police assistance.
SPO1 Macanas coordinated with Sta. Ana police station and a team of policemen immediately went to the motel to verify the report.
According to police blotter, the responding policemen have placed Duque and PO1 Macanas under arrest after catching them naked and in the act of having sex.
PO1 Macanas is jailed at the Davao City Police Office, while Duque is detained at Sta. Ana Police Station. Complaints of adultery have been filed against them at the Davao City Prosecutor's Office on Saturday.
PO1 Macanas is assigned with the Regional Public Safety Management Battalion and currently on schooling at the Regional Service Training Unit (RSTU)-Davao.
Duque, on the other hand, is assigned at the Davao Oriental Police Office and is also undergoing training at the RSTU.
Superintendent Jose Carumba, regional police spokesman, said administrative charges of grave misconduct are being prepared against PO1 Macanas and Duque. ( Sun.Star Davao/Sunnex)
