TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol - In its effort to update the public on police-related issues, Bohol Police Chief Rodolfo Llorca recently launched a police forum called ''Talakayan sa Isyung Pulis (TSIP)'' here.
Llorca said that through the police forum, the media will now have a venue to straighten out sketchy news reports and get regular updates of current police programs and operations.
''We hope through TSIP, we make your police closer to the people and the media, and thus eliminate the barrier that often divides both, causing discomfort in the performance of their separate duties,'' Llorca said.
The Bohol police official disclosed that the public can now expect heightened operations in dangerous drugs and robberies.
A presentation on the crime situation in Bohol revealed that crimes against property and illegal drugs have risen considerably, a thing that concerned the provincial police leadership, which is the reason why police officials plan to strengthen its operational plan.
