HOT on the heels of the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort's opening last month, new attractions have been springing up along the bay to add to its 'necklace of attractions'.

Several features such as solar-powered fan shelters and a mist-spraying sculpture were completed last month. These line the southwestern part of the waterfront promenade encircling the bay.
A timbre boardwalk lining the southeastern bank where Marina Bay Sands is situated, with waterside seats for visitors, has also been built.
Across the water, the 100-room Fullerton Bay Hotel will welcome its first guests on Thursday, while food and beverage complex Customs House was unveiled on Wednesday.
The latter has four new restaurants, with a fifth to open soon. A new rooftop bar, Lantern, has also opened at the six-storey hotel.
These new attractions come shortly after the high-profile openings of the Double Helix Bridge and the first phase of the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort.
To celebrate the area's development so far, including the completion of the 3.5km promenade loop, a large party will be thrown next weekend.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be the guest of honour at the festitivites, which is expected to attract 80,000 visitors.
