MANILA, Philippines – An anonymous caller made a bomb threat at the Manila City Hall this morning, disrupting operations there.
A radio report said the caller, a man, spoke to lawyer Lorna Paglinawan of the Office of the City Prosecutor and informed her about the supposed presence of an explosive device there.
The call was received around 8 a.m. Members of the Manila Police District bomb squad then rushed to the City Hall and scoured the Office of the City Prosecutor for the bomb.
The explosive device, however, wasn’t found.
The building was then declared safe around 9 a.m., the report added.
