MANILA (AP) - Authorities say assailants in the restive southern Philippines lobbed a grenade into a village house as occupants gathered to watch TV, killing four people, including an 8-year-old.
Military spokesman Colonel Leopoldo Galon says about a dozen other people were hospitalised in the attack on Wednesday evening in Midsayap township in North Cotabato province.
Hours later, attackers on a motorcycle threw a hand grenade in front of a high school in nearby Tacurong city, wounding two people.
Authorities are investigating. Regional police director Felicissimu Khu said on Thursday the attacks may be linked to a personal grudge
