LAGAWE, Ifugao, (PIA) - The provincial local government unit (PLGU) through the provincial disaster risk reduction monitoring council (PDRRMOC) joins in the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill on February 17. Marcela Cortez of the PDRRMOC said that an earthquake drill will be conducted at Don Bosco High School (DBHS) here while the Bureau of Fire Protection in the 11 municipalities will conduct the same in their respective areas.
"This will be a continuing activity of the LGUs and the PDRRMOC this first quarter of the year," Cortez said. In a memorandum from USEC Benito Ramos, the NDRRMC executive director, the activity which will be conducted in all public schools, and selected public government buildings and the like is a part of the continuing implementation of NDCC's Four Point Plan of Action for disaster preparedness.
