MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - A suspected bomber of rebel Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was arrested Sunday morning in southern Philippines, police said. Philippine National Police spokesman Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that Jamer Sadavao alias ''Mer'', who has a standing warrant of arrest for murder, arson, robbery with violence and intimidation, was arrested at a police checkpoint along a national highway in Sarangani province. Sadavao was an escapee in Sarangani Provincial Jail and also identified as one of the perpetrators in the Maasim attack and in the series of atrocities in the said province, he said. ''Said suspect is allegedly a trained bomb technician and a member of a subversive group conducting bombing operations in SOCSARGEN (South Cotabato, Sarangani, General Santos) area,'' Cruz said.
