Petron Corp. and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. have bagged the supply contract for industrial fuel oil of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM) for the second half of the year.
PSALM on Monday said it declared Pilipinas Shell's offer of P5.27 billion for the 150,000-kiloliter (kL) fuel oil requirements of the Malaya thermal power plant as the lowest calculated and responsive bid.
PSALM also said it issued a resolution declaring Pilipinas Shell as the winning bidder for the requirements of Malaya.
Petron's, on the other hand, won the contract to supply the fuel oil requirements of Mindanao-based Power Barge No. 104, Southern Philippines Power Corp., and Western Mindanao Power Corp.
According to PSALM, Petron offered P525 million to supply 14,000 kL of industrial fuel oil for PB 104, P933 million for the 26,500-kL requirement of SPPC; and P1.62 billion for the 46,500-kL fuel needs of WMPC. — VS
