News Update Cops launch manhunt vs ambush-robbery suspects in Marikina

Police have launched a manhunt for unidentified armed men who robbed and killed a municipal employee of San Mateo town in Rizal province and seriously wounded her driver in an ambush in Marikina City Friday afternoon.

Radio dzXL reported on Saturday that police have drawn up sketches of the suspects after interviewing witnesses who saw the incident.

Killed was Lily de Jesus, after the gunmen fired on a Toyota Revo she was riding on J.P. Rizal Avenue in Concepcion I village in Marikina City.

Her driver Felix Alcantara was seriously wounded.

The robbers fled with P1.5 million in payroll money for employees in San Mateo town in Rizal, which the victims had just withdrawn from a Land Bank branch. — LBG, GMANews.TV
