LUZON, Philippines -- Two moderately strong tremors were recorded in different Luzon provinces Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
A 4.7-magnitude earthquake was felt at 2:28 a.m. yesterday with epicenter located 86 kilometers southwest of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.
At 7:53 a.m. yesterday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 was also detected in Laoag City on Monday morning.
Its epicenter was located 93 kilometers northeast of Laoag City.
Intensity II was felt in Claveria and Calamaniogan, Cagayan Valley.
Phivolcs said Intensity II tremors are felt by few resting individuals staying indoors.
Likewise, hanging objects sway slightly, while water containers oscillates noticeably.
