MANILA, Philippines - Young actor Albie Casiño was reportedly beaten up at a Makati bar on Friday night allegedly by friends of his ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann.
In an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com posted shortly before noon on May 5, Albie's mother Rina Casiño-who was out of town at the time of the incident-said that the estranged couple came across each other at Fiamma Bar where Andi allegedly "splashed wine on his (Albie's) face and slapped him."
Albie was said to have gone to the restroom to "clean himself up" with the intention of leaving the bar after, but he and a friend were purportedly followed to the parking lot by Andi's companions.
Describing the act as "planned and premeditated," as she was quoted, Rina also named Andi's companions and related that her son was hit on the head with a wine bottle. The commotion was later stopped by a bouncer.
Nevertheless, Albie was then taken to the Makati Medical Center where he underwent a CT scan and other tests. According to ABS-CBNNews.com, Albie's camp "[has] yet to find out if Albie sustained serious injuries from the alleged clash with Eigenmann's group."
"Their family has yet to file a blotter report, but is planning to file charges against those involved, Rina said," the same report added.
ABS-CBN's talent arm Star Magic, which manages Andi, is reportedly trying to acquire a statement from her family about the incident.
On Twitter, Rina said that Albie is already resting at home.
"Rest assured d culprits will not go unpunished so help me God," she added.
In another tweet, she said, "We've kept our silence long enough I think this incident is God telling us to speak up & let the whole world know the truth,so help me God."
Meanwhile, Carlos Concepcion, identified by Albie's mother as one of the attackers in the ABS-CBN report, tweeted in the afternoon of May 5, "I have no involvement with last nights incident. I was nowhere near the vicinity. Get Ur facts straight before printing an article."
Despite their young age, Albie and Andi's relationship was marred by heavy controversies post-breakup last year. Albie has been accused not only of calling Andi a "cheater," but also of hitting her. He is also said to be the father of Andi's baby, Adrianna Gabrielle - something that the actor has yet to own up to.
Just last month, Andi confirmed seeing Albie in a chance encounter in Boracay.
