Class95cafe Curry Chicken Rice

Planning to cook chicken curry tonight? We had 2 customer who had been working in Singapore simply fall in love for Singapore chicken curry. We were getting cold feet at the very thought of finding the ingredients. In Gamu, curry powder, lemon grass, is not a common available off the Shelf items like Singapore, we had to hunt, search and find. Chicken curry is a dish that I grew up with, but the chicken curry of my childhood was just a coconut milk based stew made yellow with curry powder. My partner and me had a hard time to decide to cook it hot and spicy like the real McCoy of Singapore or the Pinoy version which is not so hot and sometime can be a very little sweet. The official winner goes to my 2 customer who preferred the hot and spicy version. In Singapore we are a chilli culture nation. The usual catch phrase in Singapore "no chilli cannot eat…no chilli can die!", you name it we have it chilli for chicken rice garlic chilli and ginger sauce, stewed duck chilli, Shanghai dumpling vinegar ginger, grilled stingray sambal, nasi-padang sambal belachan, mee pok chilli sauce, roast duck chilli, chwee kueh chilli, wanton mee chilli, beef noodle chilli, chilli noodle chilli, rojak chilli, chilli crab chilli …phew! the list goes on.... Believed it on not there has been a lot of studies on chilli peppers and there's some positive news here. The research believes that it can help fight diseases, sooth pains and, hear this - help you loose weight! They attribute all this to capsaicin, a compound found in it's seeds and veins. Hey, they are even suggesting that it can help clear your sinuses and chest congestion.(Extract from http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2008-08/uof-nrr081108.php). In Gamu, the chilli or "sili" is longated about 4 inches in size and not so hot. At the end of the day we had 2 very satisfied customers who give a thumb up for the dishes, affortable and not burn a hole in the pocket P45.00 per plate and P120.00 for the claypot.
