Grieving family and friends on Saturday laid to rest Ernani Sencil, who was found dead and charred in Central Luzon last week along with car dealer Emerson Lozano.
Sencil was buried at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City, where Lozano, son of Marcos lawyer Oliver Lozano, was buried Thursday.
Sencil's mother Patricia said she is hoping that the perpetrators of the murders would be apprehended soon.
"Sana bigyan siya ng hustisya. Kung anong ginawa sa anak ko, parang hayop talaga eh (I hope he will be given justice. What they did to my son was animalistic)," she said between sobs.
Sencil, 33, left behind a widow and three kids aged 8, 6, and 4.
The younger Lozano, a car dealer, and workmate Sencil were last seen alive last January 12 while meeting a prospective buyer of a Kia van in Quezon City.
Sensil's charred body was found January 13 in Tarlac, while that of Lozano was found in Pampanga the following day.
Initial findings showed that the two were shot in the nape. The bullet that killed Lozano went through the nape and exited his left cheek, while the bullet that killed Sensil went through his lung.
Another car dealer, Venson Evangelista, was likewise found killed and charred in Central Luzon, prompting investigators to look into the possibility that the murders may have been perpetrated by the Dominguez carnapping syndicate. — TJD
