CEBU CITY (Updated)-- One of the suspects behind the brutal murder of an alleged former robbery gang member, his live-in partner and his three-year-old son in Lapu-Lapu City last Thursday was identified Friday.
Police named the suspected lead gunman as Ricky Cadavero, a native of Ozamiz City.
Two other persons were also identified, during a conference Friday afternoon of Metro Cebu’s police directors, as suspects in the murder of Fernando Canillo, Emma Beronguis and their three-year-old son Fernando II inside their home in Barangay Babag II.
The Lapu-Lapu City police formally filed multiple murder and frustrated murder charges against Cadavero Friday afternoon.
Cadavero, also known as "Kambal", was identified by Canillo’s surviving children as the "Uncle" who, accompanied by three unidentified men, shot two siblings, their father and his live-in partner. One of the siblings remains in the hospital.
