News Update Monsoon rains to affect WLuzon - PAGASA

The southwest monsoon may have started to weaken, but it will continue to affect Western Luzon this weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Saturday evening.
PAGASA, in its 5 p.m. bulletin and gale warning, advised fishing boats and other small seacrafts to remain on alert against moderate to rough seas.
"Western Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening," it said.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to West will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough, PAGASA added.
Elsewhere, PAGASA said winds will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas. — ELR
