MANILA, Philippines – A son of a retired Philippine navy officer has found the stabbed bodies of his father and four other family members with their hands bound inside their home.
Military spokesman Col. Samuel Cabang said Tuesday authorities have no suspects yet in the grisly killings of the retired navy commander and his wife, who was a chief petty officer, their daughter and two teenage relatives.
Cabang says investigators do not suspect robbery but are looking at revenge as a possible motive.
The son discovered the bodies inside their home just outside a military camp in southwestern Palawan province. Their hands were tied and their mouths taped shut. Officials say the wife's head was covered in cellophane and her throat slashed.
