ILAGAN (Philippines) - PHILIPPINE police say they have arrested a man who appeared in a photograph aiming his gun at a local councilman who was fatally shot moments later.
The picture, taken by the victim, earlier led to the arrests of a second suspected gunman and an alleged accomplice.
The victim, Reynaldo Dagsa of Caloocan city, took the picture as he was standing outside his house photographing his smiling wife, daughter and mother-in-law on New Year's Eve.
Police Chief Jimmy Rivera of north-eastern Isabela province says the suspect, Arnel Buenaflor, was captured in Aurora city late Thursday.
Police believe Buenaflor, who had been released on bail while facing robbery charges, took revenge against Dagsa for ordering his arrest last year. -- AP
