Just Ask what is double dead meat sold in Philippine ?

Hi Glenn I had heard pretty gross story about meat in Manila one of those are Double-dead meat it is the Filipino appellation for meat taken from an animal that has died of disease or locally known as "botcha.". I heard independently advice from Filipino friend avoid those street vendor that sell BBQ meat as you will never know whether is pork, dead cat or dog.To spot “double-dead” meat, we should watch out for grayish or pale color of the meat or if it is sold at very low prices. The safer way is to dine in reputable food court, supermarket. In Gamu Isabela province, because we are near most the farming activities. They want their meat real fresh and alive !

The police now urged the public to report the sale of “double-dead” meat to authorities by calling or texting at 0927-579-0004 and 920-1370, or email at helpdesk.qcpd@yahoo.com
