SINGAPOREAN children living abroad who want to enrol in a school here can begin registering next week.
The 2010 School Placement Exercise for Returning Singaporeans will open on Monday for students returning from overseas who wish to join a secondary school, junior college (JC) or Millennia Institute (MI) for the academic year starting next year.
They will have to sit for one set of centralised school admission tests. The secondary school entrance tests will be on Oct 14 and the JC/MI admission papers will be on Nov 24.
Applicants will receive their results in December and can join the schools in January next year.
Returning Singaporeans who are unable to sit for the placement tests in October and November may take part in a Supplementary Placement Exercise in late December, but will be able to join schools only in February next year.
