News Update Binay taps lawyers for legal support

DAVAO CITY (PIA) - Victims of a bogus large-scale international recruitment agency may seek help from identified Davao lawyers, tapped by Vice President Jejomar Binay to handle such cases.

Former Justice Secretary Silvestre Bello III said Binay personally asked him to convene some lawyers nationwide to gather and handle the case of victims on this recruitment scam. Victims who applied as student, or caregiver, or nurse in the United States started to surface claiming that they spent up to R1.2 million for an application that only turned out to be fake.
