Elim Chew recognised for helping businesses that fulfil a social cause

THE boss of clothing and accessories retailer 77th Street throws open her doors three days a month to 'social entrepreneurs' seeking advice or help.
For the last three years, Ms Elim Chew, 44, has been setting aside an hour for each person on those three days, motivated by her belief in giving a head start to those who can run businesses which fulfil a social purpose and yet are commercially viable.
For her work in this and other areas, Ms Chew is among four Singaporeans named as Forbes Asia's Heroes of Philanthrop
