They admit most of the current activities to help newcomers adapt don't involve Singaporeans

MOVING across the world to some place new can be a real culture shock. Even hair does not behave the same way.
To help newcomers cope with the changes, expatriate associations in the last couple of years have organised new activities that show them how to survive in Singapore - down to taming the crowning glory.
But with integration having become a hot button issue, these groups conceded that most of their events do not foster integration between expatriates and Singaporeans. However, they said they would be interested in teaming up with local partners to organise such activities.
