News Update N.F.A. STARTS WEEK-LONG SALE BUTUAN CITY

A week-long sale of National Food Authority's (NFA) regular milled rice (RMR) and iron-fortified rice (IFR) at P23.50 per kilo has started at the lobby of the NFA city, provincial, and municipal offices spread at various areas in the region, it was learned Tuesday.

The week-long activity is in celebration of NFA's 38th Anniversary, it was also learned. With this year's theme "Paglilingkod ng Tapat, Tungo sa Pagkaing Sapat," the event underscores NFA's pursuit of excellence in the area of public service. In line with this year's celebration, Northeastern Mindanao Regional Director Javier P. Lozada Jr. also announced to all interested NFA licensed retailers that they are authorized to sell at volumes based on their capitalization.

Sales to accredited outlets will also be based on their capitalization. Individual IBSP members may buy their own allocation for display in their respective stalls, in addition to the volume for IBSP, he said. Lozada stressed that any licensed/accredited retailer who wish to buy more than the volume based on their capitalization, they are required to increase their capitalization and pay corresponding increase in license fees.
