A 26-YEAR-OLD bachelor landed in jail after he was caught inside a neighbor's restroom with a 16-year-old girl around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, the police reported.
The parents of the teenage girl immediately sought police assistance, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
The police said an inquest case for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610 has been filed against the suspect, who has been identified as Albert Alfonso of Bunguiao village, 34 kilometers east of Zamboanga City.
RA 7610 is otherwise known as An Act Providing for Stronger Deterrence and Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination, and for Other Purposes.
The Zamboanga City Police Office reported that Alfonso was detained after he was arrested by personnel of the local police's Women and Children Complaint Desk. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
