News Update US-Philippine police seize 25 hot cars, 18 bikes

CAGAYAN DE ORO -- Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday seized 25 luxury cars and 15 motorbikes in separate raids here and in Bukidnon.
The joint operation by the United States and Philippine security forces also yielded a shotgun and assorted ammunition.
NBI Northern Mindanao Director Jose Justo Yap said three of the 25 confiscated imported cars and 15 motorbikes have allegedly been carnapped and surreptitiously shipped to the Philippines from Houston, Texas, USA.
Yap identified the person behind the illegal importation of motor vehicles as a certain Lynard Allan Bigcas, a Filipino businessman who is allegedly in resident status in Houston. Bigcas is reportedly a biker and bike trader himself.
The NBI regional director said that although they only have a search warrant for alleged illegal possession of firearms, they have included the luxury vehicles and motorbikes in the investigation.
Judge Jose U. Yamot Sr. of Cagayan de Oro Regional Trial Court branch 11 issued the search warrant against Bigcas.
