Engr. Enrico Guilas, regional director of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Cordillera, said the huge amount for infrastructure development in the province was already included in the budget of the agency for this year, adding that the identified projects are expected to be completed within the year.
According to him, the inclusion of the funding for several roads in the province was approved by President Arroyo in line with her government's objective of spurring growth in the rural areas through improved infrastructure.
Guilas said the projects include the P20-million rehabilitation and concreting of the Tabuk-Tanudan-Banaue road, which includes opening and construction of missing links in the particular road section, and the P21.2-million Bulanao-Parcelis road section 1 project.
