News Update BI deports US national wanted in Guam

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported an American, who is wanted in Guam for heroin smuggling.
BI Intelligence Chief Maria Antonette Mangrobang said Marvin George Scharff, 51, was deported last April 28 via a Continental Airlines flight to Guam en route to the US mainland.
She said Scharff is wanted to stand trial before a district court there. He supposedly violated the conditions for his release after he was charged for trafficking.
Scharff had been on the US government’s wanted list since January 13, 1995. BI Interpol chief Bernard Cruzata said he had been hiding in the Philippines since 1994.
Operatives arrested Schraff at the US embassy in Manila. He had requested that he be repatriated to Guam since he was already broke.
BI Commissioner Ricardo A. David Jr. has already placed the American in the agency’s blacklist of undesirable aliens.
