CAGAYAN DE ORO -- Motorcycle enthusiast Lynard Allan Bigcas surfaced on Friday to deny allegations that he stole the luxury vehicles recovered from his two rented warehouses in this city and Bukidnon last week.
Bigcas faced the media for the first time Friday, 10 days after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized, in separate raids, 25 imported luxury vehicles and 15 motorbikes from warehouses in Talakag in Bukidnon province and in Kauswagan, this city.
In a press conference Friday, Jose Alejandro Pallugna, Bigca's counsel, said his client had filed a recovery "personal property and damages" against the NBI before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 10.
Bigcas told newsmen that he bought all the seized luxury vehicles and motorbikes with "value and in good faith."
The NBI and FBI conducting verification of the vehicles earlier confirmed that 11 of the 25 luxury cars were considered stolen based on United States laws.
