News Update 1 Killed, 1 Injured as Assassins Storm Cotobato Shop

COTABATO, Philippines (Xinhua) - Assassins stormed a shop in the southern Philippines on Saturday, leaving one dead and another wounded, police said Sunday. Armed men attacked a machine shop in Kabacan town, North Cotabato province around 3:30 p.m. Saturday and killed a handicapped man, Salim Gonsang Dimalalaw, and wounded his friend Allan Mulibas, said Superintendent Joseph Semillano, head of police in Kabacan. The victims were watching a TV show when two unidentified motorcycle riding assassins fired their guns at them. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Police investigation is underway.
