News update Cavite Shuffles Police Officials

AVITE, Philippines - The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) implemented a reorganization with the designation of five key officers to vital positions in the command to improve further the peace and order and police services in the province. Superintendent Danilo L. Maligalig, PPO director, designated Sup. Edgar B. Roquero, PPO deputy director for operations (DDO), as chief of the Bacoor Municipal Police Station (MPS) vice Supt. Redrico A. Maranan. Supt. Joseph S. Javier, PPO Security Management Company (SMC) chief, is now Cavite City police chief, replacing Supt. Danilo Buentipo. Maranan was assigned to the position left by Javier while Buentipo is now chief for Police Community Relations (PCR) of the PPO, replacing Supt. Gregorio Evangelista.

Maligalig also assigned Supt. Josemarte T. Paras, PPO deputy director for administration (DDA) as DDO and placed Evangelista as DDA. (Anthony Giron) Priests, Mayors Play for Project BALANGA CITY, Bataan, Philippines - Church, government and the private sector joined hands recently to raise money for the construction of the Residencia Sacerdotal or the proposed Bataan Clergy Retirement Home. No less than Gov. Enrique "Tet" Garcia and Bishop Ruperto Santos graced the first-ever basketball tournament held at the Bataan People's Center here that pitted Team Alcaldes, composed of mayors and local government executives, against the Team Padres, composed of priests, to raise funds for the project. Dubbed as "Padres y Alcaldes Basketball Game", the basketball game was also aimed at establishing a closer friendship and cooperation between local chief executives and church officials.
