News Update nutritional needs of Isabelaños

ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Philippines (PIA) - The National Nutrition Council (NNC) in Region-IX challenged anew the stakeholders of the Isabela City Nutrition Council to look back on the member-institution's respective programs in addressing the nutritional needs of Isabelaños. Region-IX NNC Coordinator Pamela Tarroza, during the orientation-update on nutrition program last week, asked member-agencies in government to look back on what they have respectively been doing and in the process identifying who are those who need services in nutrition towards a comprehensive view of the nutrition situation the council will have to manage. She underscored the importance of regular meetings for the local nutrition council to have more opportunities for interaction to arrive at one focus and one direction towards formulating the right programs and plans for nutrition in Isabela. Tarroza also announced that Isabela is lucky to be the recipient once again of the NNC assistance with the setting up of a community radio station. She said the project was intended for the ARMM.
