TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines - Top officials of the Toshiba Information Equipment Philippines Inc. visited Leyte and met with Gov. Carlos Jericho L. Petilla to scout the province for possible sites for expansion. Toshiba Corp. is among the companies that assured millions of pesos in investment for its electronics products expansion in the Philippines during President Aquino's visit to Japan, where the President met with Japanese business leaders before proceeding to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Yokohama. The officials who met with the governor were headed by Toshiba Information Equipment Philippines President Yoshiyuki Yano, and included Executive Vice President Tatsumi Sato, Yamaichi Electronics Co.
