GAMING giant Blizzard Entertainment, the maker of the world's most
popular game World of Warcraft (WoW), is setting up an office in Singapore.
It will offer technical support to players, as it is locating its Battle.net servers
in Singapore as well.
This will greatly reduce server latency, or lag, for players of its wildly
popular games, the latest being the long-anticipated StarCraft II.
The California-based game developer and publisher said it is keen
to expand its presence in this region, given the burgeoning gaming
population.
Its other Asian servers are in South Korea and Taiwan.
The location, opening date and size of the office have yet to be
decided, said Blizzard.
