Senior Inspector Roberto Razon, chief of QCPD's District Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (DAID-SOTG), identified the woman who bribed him as Gina Romero, 33, a resident of No. 172 Balara St., Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City.

''This was the first time someone bribed me and on my first week as head of this unit (DAID-SOTG). Huwag nila ako subukan (don't even try to bribe me). I will not tolerate bribery in my office,'' the police official warned.

Meanwhile, Razon said that the woman remains detained at the detention facility of the DAID-SOTG after having been placed Saturday night under inquest proceedings for violating Article 212 of the Revised Penal Code which is the corruption of a public official.

Razon said that Romero claimed to be a relative of two suspected drug pushers, namely, live-in-partners Tony Klat and Weng Mantes.

Klat and Mantes were arrested by DAID-SOTG operatives during a buy-bust operation at around 6 p.m. Thursday in front of the couple's home at No. 164 Balara St., Barangay Old Balara. Police seized a sachet of shabu worth P500 during the operation.

Razon said that Romero first appeared at the office of the DAID-SOTG Friday to inquire on the status of the couple's case as well as to bring them food and clothes.

On Saturday morning, Romero went to the office of Razon to ask if something can be done to release the couple.

After Razon told her that he can't do anything about the case, the woman told him ''Baka po pwedeng ayusin na lang natin yan. May dala ako ditong pera.
