CLARK FREEPORT - Pampanga Governor-elect Lilia "Baby" Pineda is trying to woo the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PamCham) to support her three-year term as she sought to improve the business climate in the province. Speaking before the 30th general meeting and induction rites of PamCham at the Holiday Inn, here, last Thursday, the incoming governor underscored the need for mutual support between the business sector and the local government in order to attain progress. She said her administration would maintain a consultative relationship with their partners and assured the business sector that their lines of communication will remain open for the next three years. On the part of the business sector, PamCham President Renato Romero said his members have declared their full support to the leaders of the incoming administration.

"This early, I would like to convey our sincerest appreciation to the gestures of unity and cooperation extended not only to the business sector but to all the stakeholders in the province," Romero said. Pineda was accompanied in the event by Vice Governor Joseller "Yeng" Guiao; Party-list Representative-elect Lina Bagasina of ALE; Provincial Board members; and representatives from the Pampanga Mayors League. Also present at the event were Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) Chairman Nestor S. Mangio, Laus Groups of Company President CEO Levy Laus, and other officers and members of PamCham.
