With the onset of the rainy season, the Quezon City government has formed an anti-dengue task force in the city's barangays and public schools to arrest the possible spread of the disease especially in the depressed areas. Outgoing Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. cited the need to create the anti-dengue team as a precautionary measure as local health officials will be on the lookout especially during the critical months of July and August.
