News PNP 8 Deploys 3,000 Personnel

CAMP RUPERTO KANGLEON, Palo, Leyte - The Philippine National Police in Eastern Visayas (Region 8) has deployed more than 3,000 policemen all over the region up to November 2. Chief Supt. Arnold Revilla, PNP 8 director, based here, said that more than 3,000 members of the PNP had been deployed in observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day to maintain peace and order and for traffic management in the cemeteries all over Eastern Visayas in coordination with village officials, Army, and other authorities and concerned groups in the localities. Revilla disclosed that the deployment of personnel all throughout Eastern Visayas focuses on the security in the cemeteries and part of the PNP's tasks to ensure that peace and order will be maintained in the cemeteries. Revilla further disclosed that most of the policemen who will be deployed will come from the provincial and municipal police stations.
