Lawyer Ricardo T. de Leon Jr., 38, single, was declared dead on arrival at the St. Dominic Medical Center in Bacoor while his secretary, Baby Girl C. Parido, was in critical condition.
Homicide prober Police Officer 2 Romar Sinnung of the Bacoor Police Station said the gunmen must have carried out the mid-afternoon attack in less than a minute.
"Investigation conducted showed that two men shot the victims without any conversation," said Sinnung, adding that shooting took place at the De Leon Law Office at Room H of Heritage Building in Barangay Niog at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
A team from the Cavite Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives (SOCO) found three bullet casings and a live bullet, all for a .45-caliber gun.

It seemed that two bullets were meant for each of the victims but the assassin who fired at Parido could have had a problem with his firearm, cocked it and ejected a live bullet, Sinnung theorized
