Unidentified assailant gunned down an Italian in Makati City's Central Business District on Thursday morning, a radio report said.
Quoting police reports, Radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad said 38-year-old Sergio Maza was shot dead outside the Shang Grand Tower along Dela Rosa corner Perea Streets.
Maza, a resident of the Shang Grand Tower, was on his way to work at the Shangri-La Hotel, where he was manager of the food and beverage department.
The report quoted Makati police chief Senior Superintendent Florante Bonifacio as saying that the police would investigate the matter and go after the perpetrator.
Maza's body was already brought to a funeral parlor, the report added. — Sophia Dedace/RSJ
