News update Japanese CEO meets death at parking lo

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT - A 49-year-old Japanese Chief Executive Officer or CEO was found dead from multiple hack and stab wounds in the body at the parking lot of his company located at Subic Techno Park (STEP), here, police reported Thursday.

Based on his statement to police, Subic GS Auto Inc. President Ronald Allan Valencia said he found the body of Kazuya Imoto, who was his brother-in-law and boss in the company, around 2 p.m. last Tuesday. In its report, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority's (SBMA's) Law Enforcement Department (LED) stated that Imoto was found lying face-down beside his minivan parked at the company compound.

However, probers have yet to determine whether or not Imoto was killed in the same place.

Further investigation conducted by Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives (SOCO) found blood stains in the rear compartment Imoto's gray Toyota Lucida Estima minivan (BDD-135) and a nearby 40-footer container van.

The SOCO team lifted from the scene a 35-centimeter dagger with apparent bloodstains which is suspected to be the murder weapon.

While Imoto's pair of red-framed sunglasses; Bulgari wristwatch; mobile phone; and some spare change were found intact, his wallet was missing. (With a report from Jonas Reyes)
