THERE has been a leadership change at City Harvest Church, which is being probed by police for alleged misuse of funds, reported The Business Times on Friday.
Pastors Derek Dunn and Aries Zulkarnain have been put in charge of the church's ministerial duties while a 10- member board will continue its role until the probe is over.
Founder Pastor Kong Hee has relinquished his duties but will remain as the president and chairman of the church board, said the BT report.
City Harvest has also appointed auditors RSM Chio Lim to conduct an independent review of the church's corporate governance structure and internal control processes.
On May 31, police rounded up 17 individuals associated with the church, including Pastor Kong, to assist in investigations. Pastor Kong's wife, pop singer Sun Ho who has been based in the US since 2003, flew back recently from Las Vegas to assist police in the probe. She was questioned for more than six hours on June 15.
